My name is Ashley Murrey. I’m the owner of Poppy Rose Events. I am a mother of two and married to the man of my dreams. I love planning and making peoples dreams come true. Planning events isn’t a just a career for me its my passion. I hope that you will let be apart of your special day! We are looking forward to it!

Not only does she gather your vision from five pins on Pinterest, but she is able to surprise the hell out you with her ability to make a beautiful place look breathtaking. From the custom flowers, to the smallest detail of having a custom Arbor and sign in table, to the extravagant table display.

My story is unbelievable. While I know Ashley very well personally, I have always know that professionally she has been amazing at the work that she produces. I had no idea that she could pull something off that would shock me for the rest of my life. She convinced my then boyfriend to throw a wedding the day after he proposed. yes, read that again. I was sent a fake invitation for a wedding that I thought was my boyfriend’s cousin. When we arrived to a beautiful mansion that had its own PRIVATE lake, I was in aww of the beauty this place held. I was greeted by my boyfriend’s family who I knew would be at the wedding. Shortly after I saw my family. All of the sudden my then boyfriend said the most precious words and was on one knee proposing. Shocked in disbelief, I of course said yes and was smiling from ear to ear. Minutes later my fiancé then handed me an envelope. Which held the biggest surprise of my life. My wedding invitation for the next day. Seriously!!! What a shock right?

That night was perfect as both my family and my fiancé’s family celebrated our engagement and talked about our soon to be wedding. Little did I know, but some scheming had taken place and Ashley was able to put together my dream wedding from just five pins that I posted on Pinterest about a year prior.

The wedding dress, you ask? Ashley is very sneaky. She begged and then convinced me that I was doing a style shoot, which in turn had me pick out my own wedding dress and even get it fitted to me. The entire bridal shop knew about this scheme. So when I was handed my invitation and stated, “I only have black dress”. Ashley was quick to inform me that this was not true. That is when I knew that she would go great lengths to make her Bride have the most perfect day.

Ashley truly has passion for planning events and will do whatever it takes to create a vision that is perfect for the person she is working with. She will commit hours, days and weeks to ensuring that the product she is providing and the service that you receive is something that you will cherish for the rest of your life.”

“Ashley was the most amazing wedding planner/coordinator. She exceed my expectations for my dream Christmas wedding. She did everything exactly how I wanted and beyond that. If you’re planning a wedding I highly recommend to hire her. And her assistant Andrew which is her husband is absolutely amazing as well. “We love Ashley! She helped us from day one even though she didn’t have to because we only paid for day of coordination. We seriously couldn’t have pulled it off without her. We were planning a wedding while being stationed overseas which of course led to some doubts about being able to pull it all together. Ashley made it happen! She was so accommodating and we skyped frequently which i thought was awesome of her to do. The wedding exceeded our expectations and its all thanks to her. She was very attentive the day of as well which is definitely needed. We were able to enjoy our day and know that everything was taken care of. It also helps that she has her own wedding rentals. Where do I even begin? We planned a wedding in about a month, and Ashley was our saving grace. She met us at the venue and with her magic, we blended her recommendations and our wishes into the perfect day.
Ashley met with us via Zoom to plan out our vision, and was readily available via email and phone whenever we had a question. She waved her magic wand and found us amazing vendors – photography, videography, DJ, hair and makeup, cake, catering, and of course the furniture rentals. Ashley had an assortment of items from place settings to signage. She even created beverage lists based off of what we were serving!
I’ve always been the party planner, wanting to know where everything is, how they are placed, and the timing of everything. Ashley created a setting where she and her team really took care of everything. It was so weird to have things magically appear when needed, but she was just spot on.
We had guests comment on how everything was so beautifully executed and how impressive it was that we were able to put this all together in a month. Yes, because we had Ashley.

A year later after my wedding and I’m finally able to sit down and write this review on the amazing Ashley of Poppy Rose Events. I cannot express my gratitude to Ashley for how perfect my wedding day turned out all thank you to her and her team. I hired Ashley two months before the wedding day to help finalize all the last minute details. As well as wedding rehearsal and wedding day set up and day of coordination. I had a wedding with a 320 guest count which is a huge wedding to tackle and the day went so perfect and smooth and as far as I know. There really weren’t any issues or hiccups that occurred given the large wedding.

I also love that she offers rentals of décor, tables, draperies, etc. I had bought my own décor for the entire wedding and had hired other rentals for tables, chairs, dinnerware, etc.,  but getting closer to the day I needed more and didn’t have time to buy it. Thankfully Ashley was able to help and provide them for me. I had a very specific aesthetic vision for my wedding day and Ashley took my ideas, wants, and needs and brought my vision to life. Come wedding day, I was so abnormally calm and stress free knowing everything was being handled, it truly was the best day ever. I am forever grateful for Ashley and Poppy Rose Events, HIRE HER!
